An Erotic Novel? How novel!

Okay, so as you know, I've released several collections. You can still get the original collection, or Power Exchange, which has a story never published on this site. You can still get Boots and Bondage, with some of the best stories inside. And of course, you can still get Boot's Fairy Tales, with all its special extras.

But I've never released an actual novel before.

Thankfully, I was able to get the wonderful Dreadnaught Photography to do another cover for me, and I took my promise in no-more-moriarty-here seriously. I waited until I had a good cover, until the book was well finished.

Okay, so the novel is almost finished. Here on the blog you have seen nine parts of the tale; this makes ten. That's close to 40% of the total novel. Would you be interested in seeing the rest of it? We're going to see if we can get a publisher to do it real justice, so you may have to wait a bit. But tell me you're interested in the comments. That might help the publication.

The last part you saw was dear Moriarty finally getting caught. This time, she's in prison, after the trial, and just before... well, you should be able to figure out what happens next by the end of the story...

This one was hard to write. It's heading towards the end of the story (not there yet), but it had to happen eventually... At some point, Holmes NEEDED a win. Good must triumph and all that.

I sat down today with the intent of writing another short bit of Moriarty. I'm not quite done with the scene yet, and it's already more than 2500 words. For reference, that's close to twice the normal length of these stories.

But I got the answer I was looking for. I got the point across, I think, without being too preachy. I hope this is still interesting. Let me know in the comments, would you?

Sorry, but there's no story today. I may have one tomorrow. In the meantime, I've been working on connecting all of the Moriarty tales into a single continuous novel. It will be the first erotic novel I've (intentionally) written. And I won't be posting the in-between and framing bits here on the site. You'll have to buy the book, I'm afraid.

But I will give you some sneak peeks. And say a few things about dear Molly, Moriarty herself...

Moriarty's middle game

So when I started these particular stories, I wasn't expecting them to take on this kind of life. I didn't think they'd be more than a few brief bits, some fun gender swapped Sherlock Holmes stuff with some kink thrown in.

But now, it seems like it's taking on a life of its own. Like they're building up to a full out novel. Maybe I'll put them together into a nice book, and publish it for all of you. Of course, I won't put the ending here; there's got to be SOME reason for you to buy the book, right?

Anyway, I think Moriarty is keeping her game up, and it looks like Leland is coming along nicely...

I wasn't entirely sure what to write today, so I started collecting good titles for stories about my dear psychotic domme Moriarty. One of them just screamed out a story, and I had no choice but to tell it.
Some day, I should really put these together into a novel. Or maybe someone else will take the stories and draw a comic for them.

I also sometimes imagine being approached by a porn company and asked to write scripts for their fetish movies. The ones that exist are often so trite and poorly written. Well, that's neither here nor there. What matters for right now is Moriarty, and how... protective she is of her slave.

Moriarty: Truth or Bare?

I know that some people like this Moriarty thing. I know I do. It's fun to write, and fun (though disturbing) to get inside her head. Fun, sexy, and mildly disturbing. That's how I want people to describe me. And it's how I describe her. Just, you know, without the 'mildly' part.

Anyway, I'm a bit concerned that she's leaning more towards the Joker than Moriarty in this one. Though, to be fair, I'm not entirely sure how different the two are. But this is the first time we see her actually COMMIT a crime. Well, more or less.

Yesterday, I got to meet a fan. And I sold my books, and signed them, and it was awesome. I also got some great feedback about the size of my books. Seems people prefer them to be pocket sized for easy handling. And cheaper.

Which means I need to find a new publisher. Any ideas?

Learning more, letting go, licking boots

If you've been following this succubus novel so far, you'll see that there is a jump in time between the last section and this section. I've decided to leave out some of the story parts, so that there's actually a point to reading the whole thing when it's done.

So instead, I give you what I think is a nice tender scene. It's another scene of boot licking, and I know I've done that a lot. But I like it. So I'm okay with it. I hope you are too.

As I write this tale about a succubus, I've noticed that I'm hitting a lot of my own buttons about rape. It's not okay, not ever, not in any circumstance. Maybe as we go, we'll find the main character punishing more and more people who engage in non consensual sex. Or maybe not.

I've been writing a lot of short stories. You may not know this about me, but I prefer writing longer pieces. I prefer novels. There are nearly a hundred short stories on this site now, but still, I'd rather write novels.

And since I don't have any requests right now, that means I can do what I want.

There wasn't much response to the last bit I posted. Maybe I'll get back to The Testimony at some point. But I have another idea, something I wrote a long time ago, that keeps coming back to the surface. It helps that I've been watching Lost Girl, which is about a succubus. But that show gets a lot of the mythology wrong. Mythology that my earlier work got right. So I thought, why not start over? Why not tell my own tale? This isn't inspired by Lost Girl; the show just made me think about it again.

Something new

I have an idea. A suggestion someone made. What if I started writing an erotic novel, a single long piece rather than a bunch of shorter ones? Well, I'm going to give it a try.
