Confessions of a Bootlicker (3)

It was suggested to me that I should write more of these stories. Partially because they help me deal with certain consent-obsessed issues I have, partially because they help me try to find the source of certain things in my life, and partially, I hope, because they're sexy.

I really hope they're sexy. I hope these stories of my life aren't boring you. If they are, let me know. If they're not... let me know. Either way, give me some comments, people.

Confessions of a boot licker (2)

Things seem quiet lately. You guys still out there? Still interested? Should I keep going, or call it a day?

If this continues, I'll eventually have to put this in order. For now, I'm just writing tales as the memories come back.

Rantings of a writer

I've written a lot for this blog. I've written a lot outside the blog too, but you guys have only what I post here to know who I am. Still, when I say that I believe I qualify as someone who knows how to write and knows what good writing is, I think the blog speaks for itself to support me.

That said... I've been trying to watch movies for days. And I can't find any good ones. Because they're badly written. It's the same problem I've been having with games and, occasionally, with books and stories. The problem is how slow things start.

Look, I understand the importance of setting a scene. I know how much it matters to establish mood, to build suspense, and to draw the reader into a world. But there's setting the mood and then there's boring the living fuck out of your audience.

In a movie, if your audience isn't hooked in the first five minutes, you might as well give up. Without something happening, something that makes people want to see more, they'll turn things off. Considering I'm choosing between movies on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon, I've got a lot to choose from. So if you don't hook me in those five minutes, I'm out.

And the same is true with writing. In a novel, you've got, say, five pages. In a short story (like the ones on this site), I'm guessing it's more like five sentences. Whatever it is, it's a rule of five.

I know what (some of) you are thinking. It's all well and good to say that when you write stories that take place in more or less the real world, but what about stories that don't? What about stories set in other worlds? How am I supposed to create a whole world in five minutes/pages/sentences?

I have a really, REALLY easy answer for that: don't. Don't do it. Don't spend your time with a prologue, or an introduction, or teaser. Just get into the meat of the story. Get into the action.

It's called in medias res. It means the middle of the action. Start there. Start with things actually coming to a boil. Introduce the conflict as soon as you can. Once it's there, you can step back if you want to. You can go and tell the back ground, or the motivations. You can go somewhere else entirely, and let the audience build its own suspense as it wonders what in the world the things you showed them first have to do with what's going on NOW.

If you ever wanted to know my secret, there it is. Start with the part that's interesting. Then go from there.

It's not the ONLY way to write. But it is a great rule of thumb.

Okay, I've ranted. That's it for today. Now, please, more requests.

Confessions of a Boot Licker

I have decided to write a memoir. Not a memoir of my life outside of the EbR HQ, not even a memoir of reality. I'm going to write a memoir, an autobiography, of a fictional character: me.

Call it an unauthorized autobiography if you like. Call it a story of my life if it had happened the way I fantasized about it happening, rather than how it actually happened. If you don't like the current title... suggest a new one.

So, rules for myself:
-The stories will be true (almost), at least in the way they start
-The names will be made up to protect from lawsuits
-The fantasies shared will be mine, will be filthy, and will be explicit
-The stories will be written in random order, as I come up with them. If I ever put it into a book, it'll be chronological.
-If you make requests about times in my life (my first time doing something, a memory from a certain age, whatever), I WILL write about that time.

Let's start with a memory from high school.

Not today

There will be no story today. I have some thoughts I'd like your opinions on, though.

First of all, I'm considering redesigning the site. I may end up moving over to another site altogether, hopefully with some advertising. But that's neither here nor there.

I'm also considering a running tally of 'the list,' so that people can see what requests there are and what stories are waiting to be written. Would such a thing be interesting?

Also, I had an idea for a title of a book: "Memoirs of a Bootlicker." Would you be interested in reading that?

Have a great weekend. I'll be back when I have something important to say.

PS: Book 3 is available as an e-book. Four will be out soon.

Ask Boot (all about himself)

That's right. It's about me. Am I selfish? Yes. But what does that have to do with anything?

So who are you, anyway?

I'm going to assume you aren't asking about who I really am. We've talked about that not being okay. You don't need to know what I do in my real life. You don't even need to know what I write when I'm not Boot LS. So what, exactly, are you asking?

How did you get into BDSM?

Hypnosis after my own heart

I was asked to write a hypnosis story where someone was turned into a bootlicker for the night. It's an induction that I myself would love to go under.

I need more requests. Keep 'em coming, folks, if you like the quality of what you see here. (oh, and feel free to send me presents to say thank you).

Time Travel and Amazons

Seems like we're having a bit of a science fiction run lately... I'm totally okay with that.

Today, we talk about time travel. And, of course, female domination. Which means Amazons.

Enjoy.

Back with Robots

My hiatus lasted longer than I expected. At least two days. Maybe three, depending on how you count that last post. But I'm back. And we'll see how often I keep posting.

What will determine the speed? You will. Not financially (though that wouldn't hurt), but with requests. I have fulfilled requests for 50 people now. Some of them more than once. If you've requested before, and want to request again, please do. If you never have, and want to, please do. And how? How do you request? Either comment on a post, send me a note one Fetlife (bootlickersub) or an e-mail on yahoo (bootlickersub@yahoo.com). Whatever works for you.

Anyway... today's story:

The waiting list

I have nothing to say today. The list lays empty.

I like to imagine it as a book, a great leather bound volume with vellum pages that creak when they're turned. The pages are stained with sweat and tears, ink blotted where the pages have soaked it up. There in the book, requests lay waiting.

Flash(er) fiction

What is flash fiction? Is it like slash fiction? No.

Slash fiction is fan fiction porn. It's when characters from some existing setting (often a television show) have a sexual relationship. I don't write slash fiction, because I don't write fan fiction. I'm personally opposed to it, but there's nothing wrong with it; just not my thing.

Flash fiction, on the other hand, is something different. It's fiction, written very, very fast. In today's case, 125 words (exactly). I wrote several brief stories, each relating around one of the tags used less frequently on this site.

I hope you enjoy

Pills and Pleasantries

Before I talk about today's tale... I've been advised/ordered to take a day off. Completely off, with nothing productive. I've decided to do that on Sunday. So that means that Sunday, there will be no post. No update of any kind. I will try to keep going every day until then, but Sunday, March 17th, there will be nothing posted here. So you'll have to take care of yourself. Or maybe give your hand a rest ;).

Now, for today.... I was initially uncomfortable about the request. It sounds too much like it isn't consensual. But the request was very specific about it being legitimately consenting, so I thought of how I would do it. I know I've written this style before, the prep and planning, the warning and considering, the making sure that it's really what someone wants. But that, to me, lets me get deeper into the characters themselves. So I hope you like it.

It also, by the way, gave me a great idea for a way for two switches to handle things. But I'll let you figure that out (or request it).

Exposition and Exposure

More of the tale of Max, our resident succubus. I'm not entirely sure where this is going to go, or if it will go further.

I could really use some input from you, dear readers. What questions do you have? What do you want to see?

Ask Boot: More about humiliation

Dear Boot,
I understand might cause a person to desire pain (which causes a rush of feel-good endorphins) and what might cause a person to desire Master or Mistress/slave relationships , but can you explain what is behind the desire for humiliation (for instance, being ridiculed for having a small cock)? What is the appeal to those who crave humiliation? What is going on in the head of the humiliated, from a neuropsychological perspective?

Okay... first let me dust off my neuropsychology PhD... where did I put that? Let's see... no, it's not among my other forged documents. I guess I lost it. No trouble; I'll just make a new one. But in the meantime, let's see what I can put together without any actual expertise.

Testimony, part 3

Yesterday, I got to meet a fan. And I sold my books, and signed them, and it was awesome. I also got some great feedback about the size of my books. Seems people prefer them to be pocket sized for easy handling. And cheaper.

Which means I need to find a new publisher. Any ideas?

In the meantime, here's another section of the book:

Professor Wolf 2

There's something I need to say about blackmail. Blackmail is not consent. It's someone doing something because they're afraid of the consequences. Which makes it no different than holding a gun to someone's head. Sex because of blackmail is still rape.

Why do I bring this up? Because I want to be sure that it's clear that while this story has elements of blackmail, it isn't real; they offer to give him back the evidence without question. It's always his choice, which means it's always consensual.

And that's important to me.

A challenge of similar interests

Sometimes, relationships break up because people want different things. Sometimes, they break up because people want the same thing (like when a husband and wife discover that they BOTH want women, or BOTH want men).

The same things happens in BDSM. Sometimes, two submissives get together. Or two dominants. They can't switch, so no one gets what they want. But that's just sex, not love. And about sex, a wise man once said "I don't put much stock in something I can pay for."

But what do you do when both people want to be in control, and neither wants to give up control? You go for a walk. You have a talk. And, if you're living in my world, you find a solution in the form of a (non rhyming) nursery rhyme.

Ask Boot (for real this time!)

I actually got a real question, from someone who is NOT me (I promise) for today's column.

Before I get to it, though, I need your opinion: would you rather a shorter book of Boot's Fairy tales or a longer book of Fairy Tales and Fantastic Stories? The difference is whether or not to include Becoming a Monkey Girl (And its sequel) and Finally a Girl Again. It would also be a matter of price; longer is more expensive.

And whichever you choose... what kind of picture would you like to see on the cover? Which story would be best represented?

Okay, on to Ask Boot:

What is the deal with all the pomp and circumstance, the rituals in BDSM? What is the appeal, from a submissive point of view?

In Soviet Russia, Boot Asks YOU!

This blog has been around now for almost four months. For most, that would be really young. But with more than 120 posts in those four months, and more than 5800 visits, it's been a wild ride so far. If we count this post today (and we do, since I'm the one who makes up these rules), I have posted something every day for the past 84 days.

Oh, and if you live in the Minneapolis area, and you'd like to meet me, see some awesome art, and possibly sign up for cool stuff, there's an event you can come to: ASA and DNP massive studio sale . I'm going to be there on Friday from 8-12pm and on Saturday from 12-6pm. Could be awesome, especially if you come.

I have things I want to ask you guys, as my loyal readers. Once I've done that, I'm going to go ahead and ask myself a few questions. Come on, it'll be fun!

First and foremost: what do you want to see here? Do you want more novel-parts? More sequels? More 'Ask Boot' columns? More fairy tales? I need more requests. More requests means more erotica.

Mother Goosed

I know, I know. I hate poetry more than a healthy person should. I have been known to say "Any idiot can write poetry, and most of them do." I hate Wordsworth, Whitman, and Keats as well as every goth/emo kid that thinks they are so deep.

But I couldn't help it. It started with one line coming to me, one idea that struck me as funny/interesting. But it was a nursery rhyme, so it kind of demanded that it remain a rhyme.

Though I will say: this is not one to read to children.

When someone isn't forced

I like writing these things for people. And I like the whole idea of torturing someone to do something that they wanted to do anyway. It's not really forcing if they ask you to do it.

But let me be very clear: the only time someone is 'asking for' something is when they say something along the lines of "I would like to have this happen." Clothing is not asking for it, flirting is not asking for it. The only thing that IS asking for it.... is actually asking for it.

The great mind reading Boot!

I did not have a request for this story. What I had was someone who said she was going to request something, but hadn't done so yet. I looked at her profile, I examined what she liked, and I found inspiration anyway. If she likes this, that means I'm a mind reader.

Or a good writer.

Honestly, I'll take either one.

The main theme for today is the idea of "thinking about kink when you should be working." So technically, you should read this while you're at work. (but don't; I wouldn't want you to get fired)

Needless Needles

Today was initially going to be a version of Sleeping Beauty, complete with the poking of a needle, but the needle play in that story is so minor, so secondary. When I started looking at the things you can do with needles, the games that can be played... well, it deserved a story all its own.

Fear of flying

I almost didn't write anything today. Just wasn't feeling it. Then I thought about a conversation, and a request. Saved my streak.

I hope you enjoy this. And I hope that sooner or later my dream of living as a writer of erotica will come true. (you can make it happen, if you have money to spare. Supporting artists means paying for art, after all).

God, I feel like such a shill when I do that. I'm sorry. I should probably stop. Let's get back to the story. It's a tale of hypnosis, slavery, and that most evil thing of all: commercial airlines.
